The wellness app market in Brazil has seen varied performance across the top Android applications during the fourth quarter of 2020. The data provided by Sensor Tower highlights the downloads and active user trends for five prominent wellness apps.
Meditopia: Sleep & Meditation experienced a peak in downloads in mid-October with around 59K, followed by a dip to 26K towards the end of December. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 285K at the start of the quarter to around 226K by the end.
Calm - Sleep, Meditate, Relax also saw its highest downloads in mid-October, reaching nearly 70K, and ended the quarter with a substantial increase to 53K. Active user counts for Calm were impressive, peaking at 125K in mid-October and concluding the quarter with 118K weekly active users.
For Gympass, which does not report revenue, downloads began at 23K in late September and decreased to 15K by the end of December. However, the app maintained a strong user base, with active users starting at 330K and rising to 352K in the last week of December.
Cingulo – Mental Wellness showed a notable spike in downloads in the first week of December with 18K, a significant increase from the 5.7K at the start of the quarter. Weekly active users reached their highest at 59K in early December, then fell to 33K by the quarter's close.
